Lamb's Pride is the easiest yarn to work with, it's got a buttery soft hand and slides easily through the hands and quickly onto the needles. Both the worsted and the bulky felt up beautifully, too, leaving a somewhat fuzzy surface. The bulky makes beautiful felted bowls and the worsted I've made into gorgeous felted mittens.

Hats I´ve made from Lamb´s Pride BULKY wool.

Lamb´s Pride wool comes in fantastic colors. It´s a blend of wool and mohair and has a soft, buttery hand, and is a pleasure to work with.
It knits up quickly, usually within 5-6 hours from casting on to fleece-lined finish.
Here´s a sampling of a few of the 35 or so hats I´ve made in the past two years. They´re not for sale, I make them with love...until I burn out and have to put the knitting needles aside for a few months.
Incidentally, if you´re into making them I use a size 9 circular needle and cast on 66 stitches for an average sized hat. Smaller would be 63-64, or 68-70 for a larger hat. I work out the patterns on graph paper. No mystery here, I get my inspiration from Norwegian, Nepalese and Andean hats.
